The OSU Steel Bridge Team competes annually in the ASCE/AISC Student Steel Bridge Competition. A student team led by its team captain design and constructs a modular bridge to cross a twenty foot span. Teams are scored on stiffness, strength to weight ratio, construction speed, and economy. The team competes against other teams in the Ohio Valley at a regional competition and continue onto the national competition pending sufficient performance at the regional competition.
